Dear Customers,
We’re pleased to share with you the enclosed Independent Auditor’s Summary Letter for 2024, prepared by CPA Scotty McDaniel. This summary offers a professional, third-party review of the financial position and internal operations of Magee’s Creek Water Association.
Just as important as what the audit says is what it means for you. The report confirms what we’ve worked hard to achieve: a stable, responsibly managed water system that operates with transparency and long-term sustainability in mind. With clean findings and a continued upward trend in key financial indicators—including a strong Current Ratio of 36.40, up from 34.67 the previous year (The Current Ratio measures an organization’s ability to meet its short-term obligations; a higher number indicates strong financial health and liquidity. A ratio above 3.0 is considered strong by industry standards.) The audit reflects careful oversight, sound budgeting, and consistent attention to the integrity of our operations.
These results mirror what we’re seeing across the board. Our third-party water quality testing continues to meet or exceed state and federal standards. Our internal controls are functioning well. And our team—both in the field and in the office—remains focused on delivering dependable, high-quality service every day.
The full audit is available for review at our office. If you have questions or would like to learn more about our operations, we welcome your call at 601-876-4838 or invite you to visit mcwa.myruralwater.com.
Thank you for your continued trust in Magee’s Creek Water Association. We remain committed to earning it every day.
Sincerely,
The Board of Directors and General Manager
Magee’s Creek Water Association
